API Permission for Live Streaming

How to Enable API Permission for Live Streaming? Go to  User & Roles  from the navigation menu. Under  Custom User , go to ‘Add Role’ section. In ‘Add Role’, click on the ‘Create Role’ button. A dialog box ‘Add Role’ opens, where you can give the role name. Then select  API Access . Under API Access, select the  Live Streaming  option. Once you select the Live Streaming option, select all the required permissions. And click ‘Save’. And a role for the API permission will be created. Now go to the ‘Add User’ column and click on the ‘Create User’ button. A dialog box ‘Add User’ opens. Enter the name of the user (customer) that you are going to lend this API permission. How to conduct Transcoding Using the Livebox Playout and Encoder Software?

Adaptive bitrate streaming (Transcoding) is available only in the higher-end versions of Livebox. To Transcode using OBS, Keep your streaming channels ready i.e., output channel and input channel. Now under  Manage Channels , go to  Transcoding . A  Transcoding  page opens up and you can select your “Input” channel by clicking the drop-down menu given in the “Select Channel” option. In  Output Channels , select the channel where the video has to be transcoded. Then give turn on near transcoding. Once you give the turn on, new options for transcoding shows up, where you can set the “Preset”. And then click “Save”. Note:   Livebox will generate both Transcode Output URL and Transcode Embed Code. After clicking save, give “Service Restart” to get your changes applied. How to create a channel in the Livebox TV?

Before you create a channel on your Livebox TV, you have to create the categories to keep your channels organized. To create your categories, Login to your Livebox TV. Go to “Categories” from the navigation menu. A page with the category specifications opens, under which go to “Add Category” to create your category. In “Add Category”, give your category name and set a thumbnail. Then give “Submit”. And your category is added. Note:   In the  Parent Category  option you can set your category as the  Root menu  or  Sub-category  within your main category. Now to create your channel, Go to “Channels” from the navigation menu. In “Channel”, go to “Add Channel” and give your channel name. If you want to distribute your Livebox streams or recordings to your subscribers, then select  Livebox  as your video type. To make changes to your Livebox TV Settings, Go to  Settings  from the navigation menu. In  Settings  enable the following buttons based upon your needs,, To distribute your contents to your website, turn on  Enable Website , you can also get the link to your website below this option. If you want to keep website interface authenticated, then turn on  Enable Website Authentication . Note:  If the website authentication is turned on, then the access your website only by logging in with their username and password. If you want to keep your TV’s mobile app authenticated, then turn on  Enable Mobile Authentication . Note:  If the authentication for the mobile app is turned off, then the user can access your app without manual device activation. It is required only to give the user details and a subscription package. Then give  Submit  to get your settings applied.
